Among Us, developed by InnerSloth, is a social deduction game inspired by the party game Mafia and the sci-fi horror film The Thing. Set in space-themed maps like The Skeld, MIRA HQ, and Polus, players are assigned one of two roles: Crewmates or Impostors. Crewmates work together to complete tasks while identifying Impostors, who aim to sabotage and eliminate them.

Gameplay Elements

  • Crewmates: Complete tasks (e.g., wiring, cleaning) and identify Impostors through social deduction.
  • Impostors: Blend in, sabotage systems, and eliminate Crewmates without being caught.
  • Maps: The Skeld, MIRA HQ, and Polus feature surveillance tools like cameras, door logs, and vitals to aid deduction.
  • Emergency Meetings: Players can call meetings to discuss and vote out suspected Impostors.
  • Ghosts: Eliminated players become ghosts, assisting Crewmates with tasks or Impostors with sabotage.

How to Play

Among Us supports 4–10 players per match, with roles randomly assigned at the start. You won’t know if you’re a Crewmate or Impostor until the game begins.

Controls

  • Movement: Use a directional pad, WASD keys, or touch/click modes to navigate.
  • Actions: Interact with tasks, vents (Impostors only), or call emergency meetings via buttons
  • Communication: Use in-game chat during meetings to discuss suspicions or defend yourself.

Winning Conditions

  • Crewmates: Win by completing all tasks or voting out all Impostors.
  • Impostors: Win by reducing Crewmate numbers to equal Impostors or sabotaging critical systems (e.g., oxygen or reactor) without repair.
